VONK invites 10 Belgian visual artists to Copenhagen

From September 26th – October 1st 2021 

 10 Belgian artists will have the opportunity to build a network in Denmark. The Limburg-based kunstenwerkplaats VONK is behind the project. Together with Danish partners Nikolaj Kunsthal and Danish arts Foundation they are setting up a 4 day event full of artistic speed dates, networking dinners, guided organization visits and a big opening party.

In April 2021 an open call was published to which everyone could apply. The jury consisted of Koen Leemans (curator Hof Van Busleyden, de Garage), Lissa Kinnaer (Kunstenpunt), Christina Wilson (Art advisor).  The participating artists are : Anton Kusters, Joke Hansen, Elias Ghekiere, Jonas Vansteenkiste, Yannick Ganseman, Dodi Espinosa, Lola Daels, William Ludwig Lutgens, Sarah De Vos and Olivia Hernaïz.

This international program is a project of VONK and partners Nikolaj Kunsthal and the Danish Arts Foundation. It was funded by the Flemish Government, the city of Hasselt & the city of Genk.
