Workshop strategic thinking and financial management
Are you starting your professional career as an artist and wondering about the different ways to get paid as an artist? How do you build up social rights and what about taxes? How do you pay yourself in the context of a subsidy project? Or do you have a concrete project plan but did you get stuck making a correct budget and looking for the right strategic partners?
On Saturday morning October 15, we organize an information session on statutes and fees given by Cultuurloket, aimed at starters. In the afternoon we continue with a smaller group with artists who already have specific subsidy plans. In this group we will talk about finding partners and drawing up a correct project budget.
Part 1 : statutes and fees for artists
10:00 - 12:00
Are you wondering about the different ways you can be compensated as an artist? Do you have questions about setting up a non-profit organization or do you want to become an independent artist? Then follow the information session by Tobias Van Royen of Cultuurloket on statutes and artist fees. The recent reforms of the 'kunstenaarsstatuut' to the 'kunstwerkattest' will also be discussed.
You do not need any previous knowledge to follow this workshop. A maximum of 30 participants can register.
Part 2 : strategic partnerships
13:00 - 16:00
Do you have concrete project plans but are you stuck in your search for partners or are you unsure about how to draw up a project budget? We start from your practice and look at the various points of interest when selecting partners and learn how to draw up a suitable budget.
